About

Big Machine Distillery was founded by Big Machine Record Label CEO Scott Borchetta and is run by Mark Borchetta. The distillery boasts of a wide variety of spirits sold at a local and national level, including Spiked Coolers, Big Machine Vodka, Borchetta Bourbon, and more.

Additionally, Big Machine Distillery operates three tasting rooms throughout Tennessee. Big Machine Brewery and Distillery is located in the heart of downtown Nashville right off lower Broadway. Big Machine Tavern is located in Berry Hill and offers a full menu. The distillery location itself is in Lynnville, Tennessee, and offers daily tours.

Experience

As a core member of the marketing team, my roles include photographer, social media manager, web admin, writer, videographer/editor, and analytics reporter. I also travel with our company to help set up and run promotional booths at various events (one event every 3-4 months).

Photographer

  • Shoot and edit 2-8 assignments per week

  • Create images used for company social media accounts, websites, TV loops, and documentation purposes

  • Create images for company design team to use on billboards and other signage

  • Create images for liquor stores that want to promote our product on social media.

  • Images typically include, but are not limited to: live bands/artists + dancefloor, cocktails, menu items, lifestyle sets w/ product, and more

  • Create images at company events to document for future use and reference

Social Media Manager

  • Create content, write social copy, and maintain brand image across 6 different social handles on various platforms

  • Grew company product accounts significantly through the use of higher quality organic content, creative copy, and targeted ads

  • Create a monthly company social media plan and mock out a weekly social calendar

    • Each account posts at least once a week, often more

    • This adds up to about 40 posts a month

  • Create images/graphics for each social post

  • Started Spiked Coolers TikTok account

  • Responsible for replying to comments on posts and audience inquiries in direct messages

  • Create monthly analytics reports and present in a easy to understand format to help upper management identify strengths and areas to improve in

Website Administrator

  • Designed and built SpikedCoolers.com, BorchettaBourbon.com, and BigMachineRacing.com

  • Create new pages and update existing pages as needed on BigMachineVodka.com

  • Write copy for new pages as needed

  • Created private events page and used social posts to promote the page, leading to a 4x increase in private events bookings

  • Implemented CSS code where necessary for customizations outside of Squarespace’s capabilities

  • Responsible for handling all contact form inquiries on websites, and replying or forwarding to upper management as needed

  • Maintain store locator pages by adding new stores each week that carry our product

  • Maintain website shops with adding/removing store items as needed

  • Create QR codes used in tasting rooms, or used on signage, TV reels, and more

  • Create monthly analytics reports and present in a easy to understand format to help upper management identify strengths and areas to improve in

Videographer/Editor

  • Shot and directed commercial for Spiked Coolers, which aired at company sponsored events such as the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, Spiked Coolers Grand Prix, Indycar 2022 Season Opener

    • Commercial also aired on CBS during primetime race coverage of MCGP

  • Create short video clips intended to drive engagement on social media

  • Created 10-15 minute TV loops for Nashville tasting rooms

    • TV loops used photos I shot, text overlays, and QR codes I created

    • Displays content such as menu items, company products, company events, and fun facts for tourists new to Nashville

Additional Marketing Responsibilities

  • Create graphics or find images for other marketing team members to use

  • Pitch and write story ideas for monthly newsletter, and create analytic reports for monthly newsletter

  • Plan upcoming company events as needed

  • Work with tasting room management teams to ensure websites, social media accounts, and TV reels are meeting their needs and expectations

  • Travel with company to larger scale events and help as needed

    • Music City Grand Prix (local), Spiked Coolers Grand Prix (Indianapolis), IndyCar Season Opener 2022 (St. Pete, FL)

    • Coordinate and helped setup/teardown activation booths at events

    • DJ and MC at booth to draw in event attendees
